The committee shall reach out to department heads, major coordinators, faculty, academic advisors and others who participate in the recruiting and admissions process to seek information and ideas. It shall develop strategic and operational recommendations for recruiting freshmen and transfer students to CFANS. Plans may cover these strategies and others:
· Basic information about CFANS and its majors available in print, Web, or other media.
· Use of mailing lists for seeking applicants.
· Communications with counselors at community/technical colleges and high schools.
· Visits to community/technical colleges and high schools to meet counselors, faculty, and students.
· Displays at college fairs.
· Communication cycles for prospective and admitted students, including campus visits, letters, e-mail, and telephone.
· Engaging departments and their faculty in communicating with prospective and admitted students.
· Participation in major Twin Cities and CFANS recruiting events (e.g., Campus Preview Days, CFANS Sneak Preview).
